UAS are common mapping and 3D modeling tool. To fully-leverage this technology's capability to save money and time, operators must have a fundamental understanding of how to collect quality images and process images into usable information. 

Through a combination of lecture and practical exercises, attendees will be able to:

• Understand imaging sensors, camera settings, the electromagnetic spectrum, and camera modifications
• Understand mission planning for precision mapping, vegetation analysis, and 3D modeling
• Understand implementing ground control points and other means of spatial control
• Process data related to precision mapping, vegetation analysis and 3D modeling
• Recognize the advantages of Agisoft Metashape, Pix4DMapper, and ArcGIS
