First cohort P3 trainees graduating

Trainees in the first cohort of the Predictive Plant Phenomics program, which began in 2016, are starting to graduate.

 

Ian Braun (2016 cohort) was the first to defend his thesis, giving his presentation titled, "Representing, Comparing and Querying Phenotype Descriptions in Plants Using Computational Methods" via Zoom on December 9, 2020. Jonathon Shook (2016 cohort) defended his thesis on January 11, 2021. His research was on the topic of the "development and improvement of phenotype prediction models with big data in soybean". His research advisor is Danny Singh.
