P3 faculty, Schnable, co-authors new research describing gene important for drought tolerance

P3 faculty and PI, Patrick Schnable, co-authored a paper which describes a gene in maize - called glossy6 - that is involved in depositing wax on the plant. This wax, in turn, helps protect the corn plant from drought by preventing water loss.
