P3 student, Ashley Paulsen, won 3rd place in the poster competition at the 35th Annual Meeting for the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research conference in Denver, Colorado.

Ashley's current research applies materials science, microbiology, and plant biology in the creation of a system for studying root-microbe interactions and phenotypes, in vivo.

 

 

The title of the winning poster was "Hydrogel-based "transparent soils" for root phenotyping in vivo" and was created with her lab-mate, Lin Ma. P3 student, Ashley Paulsen, presenting her winning poster at American Society for Gravitational and Space Research 

 

Ashley presented an additional poster titled, "Competition or Cooperation? Leveraging plant-plant interactions for optimal water use efficiency" with lab-mate, Souvik Banerjee.
