The 2nd annual P3 symposium will be held in coordination with the Phenome 2020 conference in Tucson, AZ from February 24-27 at the Tucson Convention Center.

Thanks to our sponsor Corteva

The P3 symposium and student-led activity are generously supported by Corteva Agriscience.

The P3 student symposium will run in two distinct parts:

  • Tuesday, February 25, during the reception and poster session, P3 students will lead a free hands-on, interactive event leading participants through a suite of tools they can easily implement in their own plant phenomics projects.
    • This workshop will feature demonstrations led by Predictive Plant Phenomics (P3) Graduate Students illustrating commercially available sensors and their applications. Throughout this activity, there will be hands-on building and use of economical sensors and electronics to facilitate the collection of phenotypic plant data. This graduate student-oriented workshop will cover:

      ·         An introduction to sensors and data processing

      ·         Budget-friendly rover assembly and usage

      ·         Imaging with the utilization of Raspberry Pi camera and processing

      ·         The integration of sensors, rovers, and image acquisition

  • Wednesday, February 26, will kick-off with P3's student symposium. At 8:30 am, P3 students will introduce a scientific talk by Corteva scientist, Neil Hausmann. A lightning talk session will follow the symposium.
